Separate the Politics and Religion section

I like to discuss current events and politics but I am quite tired of these bible groups that have to post praise the lord and lord this and lord that about every subject.

Can we separate the Religion and Politics group so they can praise the lord in peace?

If you want to have only 2 sub section in that part, how about putting religion and entertainment together and have the politics separate.

 

Can we please have a seperate section for the bible bashers, so we are not forced to read their comments.

 

Can we just remove that whole section It doesnt serve any purpose in webmaster forum other then trash can anyway

 

Hehe, if you do that, people will hijack the tools section to get their political opinions in.

 

I agree with that. But as for the separation of politics and religion, these two topics are somewhat related to each other and often discussed together.

 

Good idea, we can call it Intelligent section and Religion section.

 

Call it what you will, just give us an option to not have those threads show up under ¨new posts¨

 

Politics and religion go hand-in-hand....always have....always will.

Separation of church and state has never meant separation of religion and politics.

Besides, in the case of DP, does it really F'n matter???

Personally I think the forum should be renamed Trash

 

Or at least merged with the DMOZ forum.

 

Let's keep them together. The two topics often mesh, like it or not. Even if you did separate them, then conversation would drift over to the other.

 

You are right but what I actually meant if we can have preacher section, I don't mind discussing the religion if they have something to say but there are so many preachers that don't discuss anything, except repeating their sermons.

Or maybe we should just ban certain members from using those forums.

Why stop there? How about isolating the Bush-bashers in their own separate section, too? And the Halliburton-bashers ... and the [fill in the blank] ...?

Pretty soon we'll all be cozy in our own little sections and never be troubled by the exchange of ideas.
