I know that search engines have access to whois data, but can they view protected whois data? For example, if I purchase whoisguard from namecheap and my whois data is hidden from the public does G still have access to it?
Google has access to the internet period. If it is up in space they can detect it...trust me on this. thx malcolm
As far as I remember, Google (or one of its divisions) has became a level 1 registrar two years ago and of course they weren't going to sell domains I think you've got the point.
Alex; Can't find the article, but yes...Google can IMHO see private reg. since they are level 1. Will keep digging and see if I can find it. Bottom line: What is it that you are concerned about them seeing? i have found it better simply to find a way around that then to cover it with private reg. Best Eric
No they don't can't trace you if you registered your domain name via a proxy ... but it's very easy to detect you if you build a network of reciprocal websites.... If you build a network of websites, don't reciprocal link exchange all your websites... like if you got 20 sites in a network , don't out all the others 19 websites every the rest 19 sites...
