    Hi ppl,

I used Adsense some time ago but just copy/pasted the Adsense code in my site and left it there...didnt do a lot of work on that...only mistakes...after a year i won $100 from google and it was all...

Now my site is finished, i need money, and I plan to create a new site, now focused to earn some money online with advertisement.

So I have a few newbie questions for you ppl, if you can help me...

First, what is high ranking keywords and how this applies to my website? Where can I find them?

Second, I plan to do a site all about string instruments (guitar, bass, violin, cello), do you think its a good idea? Advertisement in this niche is well paid?
At least, there`s plenty of matter for writing tutorials, articles, online shops selling instruments and acessories, CD reviews...

If I really start such site, what would be a good name for the domain? And how to name each individual page inside the website? What counts more for search engines, the filename of the page (anything.html for example), the domain name or the keywords inside contents?

What ideas and tips do you suggest me for being well succeed ? Look, i dont plan to be a millionaire, but to earn a good extra money from internet so I an live better.

Thanks for your time and any help!

    Hey
Loads of questions there mate! I think, if you are just starting out, the best bet would be to spend a couple of days on this forum and get a general overview of how adsense sites work. This will give you ideas, and also allow you to understand all the answers to your questions.
For the domain name stuff, namepros.com and here are good places to learn.
You'll need to read about hosting, domain names, ad-placement, a little bit of SEO to start with. Just search the forum on these subjects and you'll find loads of good info.
    Good luck with it mate
Oh, and BTW. Make sure you read google adsense ToS! V V important.

What I learned while making websites is make something you are really interested in, and want to make a site about even if it doesnt pay well. And trust me, the first few months, you are nog going to make a great amount of money. Don't set your goals high and keep writing content. More content (and good content) will get you a long way.

Couldn't agree more. I've been selling off all my old websites that haven';t been touched in months. Don't start something that doesn't interest you, or it's going to fail miserably.

I am a guitarrist and bass player for years, and couldnt choose a more passion topic for me.

But I dont want to waste effort in something that does not generate revenue or cant optimize its profit.

so you think its a good topic to start a website?

    thanks again

Well, its probably possible to monetize just about any niche there is with adsense, so I don't see any reason why your niche would not be able to do the same.

So I could insert mini-shops from Amazon for example inside my site?
    Any other suggestions for this?
Do you think ppl would buy guitar & guitar equipment from there?
How do Amazon pays? Check? Paypal?
Is there another way of earning money from a website other than ads (google, yahoo, etc) and online shopping referral ?

    thanks again!

My guess is that adsense will be advertising guitars, other music instruments, concert tickets, etc. By the way, Amazon does not work for all sites.
