So what would that tell you?

    Don't do it again.

You can PM or email the person if you want to notify him of payment. Although I'm pretty sure PayPal (et al) does that already.

There is a reason why the transitions are posted in the public forum. It will give potential buyers an idea of the response time of the seller for example.

If you were to send out infractions to people who are notifying a seller about a payment half the Marketplace participants would have infractions.

I-trader is pretty good for that as well.

    You'd be surprised....

It's not like you were the only one given an infraction there. Just the only one to complain about it. ;)

No there isn't an appeal Process, why don't you READ the FIRST post and then your questions will be answered rather than making a useless post like you just did.....

And the fact that you just asked a retarded question...in a FAQ ...IS JUST BEYOND ME

I wonder if you actually read the thread or just decided to skip to the end and plant a useless grip........sheeesh:rolleyes:

Well, you won't be asking "Who gives these infractions and is there a appeal process" if you have read the first post in this thread. Admit it! You didn't read it did ya??? :D

Totally agree. I used to mod a forum which did this and it worked great. We actually had more problems when there was no time limit. Also people do bump their threads here and I guess they are all getting infractions but I think a 24-48 hour period would be best.

Why should it be ok to bump a thread that no-one is interested in replying to? OK occasionally threads get lost in the flood, but by and large the good uns get replies.

Just because the person who started the thread wants a reply, it doesn't mean it is for the good of the forum and the users to allow thread bumping. if I come across a good thread that has slipped and I think it should be discussed, I reply. This takes it back up the 'latest posts' page. Enough people wil then see it, and no replies = no interest = the law of natural selection :)

6 months sounds about right. I have only 3 points left. Time to start a couple of threads in the wrong section to see if you guys are awake. ;)

Frankly, I could care less about my post count. But giving me an infraction with the reason of "Running Up Post Count" kinda pisses me off because you're implying that I made a post for the sole reason of increasing my post count when in fact I never even thought about it in the first place. I don't know, I just don't approve of the wording I guess. Just putting post had no value is fine but accusing me of doing something I did not intend to do I think is wrong, but I'll keep it in mind in the future when making a post.

This should reduce the number of bans and the number of posts complaining about it.
