surveillance at Purdue university

Purdue university has one of the highest surveillance I've ever seen. There are cameras everywhere. In buildings, in some rooms, on campus, even in buses.

While it can be very helpful for security, I personally would be completely against it. I like my privacy and don't like for everyone to be able to track me at anytime on campus.

Also, it is very easy for something like this to be abused.

Where is our privacy these days? Next thing is having a computer GPS chip inside our body so we are traceable at any given time.

I think it's both good and bad but I could see why lots of people wouldn't like it...where will it end!

 

The university I went to 7 years ago had cameras in all the computer rooms and hallways. Chains and locks were not enough to stop people taking the computers or memory.

Sometimes cameras are the best way to stop this kind of things happening.

I don't see any problem with it as long as they don't put it in the toilets.
