Just rcvd the lovely good form letter stating my account has been disabled for illegal click activity which is crazy. I just reached my payment threshold after 4 months and now that they have toi pay me they ban me! This happens way to often with google from what i am reading and after busting my ass for 6 months on my site I feel like i just wasted all of it!

i think the email should say 'invalid clicks' not illegal click activity.

Post your site URL. If you did nothing wrong, contact google.

this is my site - http://www.celebridiot.com/gossip

I have even contacted adsense in te past when adlogger showed odd click activity and when I had a spike in CTR so that they could make sure my account was being hit with click fraud. They even thanked me and said they appreciated me being proactive in monitoring my site.

It happens when you reach your payout point because that's when they evaluate your account. :) But definitely send an email asking about it - if you just "sit tight", you'll only confirm that you were doing sometheing wrong (at least in their eyes).

i had one issue in adlogger - 5 quick clicks -- i contacted adsense the second i found out and infomred them of the click and banned the IP address. I had a day where my CTR went from my usual 2% to 7% and i contacted adsense to inform them of the odd activity. I sent them an e-mail with my adlogger report, copies of my previous e-mails showing i was on top of things, and asking for some more information.

    Nothing yet

I usually earned between $2-$3 a day -- maybe up to 5 if there was a really hot gossip story out - the britney divorce or somethign like that -- but nothing crazy.

Here is a question - if i want to sell the site since adsense can't be used - is the site itself on google's banned list?

sometimes google bans your account, and sometimes they just disable the site from being able to serve ads from particular account , you should contact them and see if ads can still be displayed on the site if you were to sell it

I;m sorry for your bad experience with Adsense. That happened to me awhile back. Till this day I still haven't got my account back, but who knows, maybe you will.

I suggest for now you find a new company to publish with. Try applying for YPN. Maybe you will get it. I did with my celebrity site. It may take awhile and a few tries though.

Thanks -- i have sent several e-mails today -- it makes me sick since i worked hard to build it up and it was at the point of really making some money i think. I tried other affiliate programs - cj, linkshare, adbrite - and they earned me about 412 over 4 months -- adsense was th eonly thing i made money with. I have a few applications into YPN - still waiting

Maybe only account would be disabled. I suggest don't put any other ads other than than google adsense. Your site will display different types of ads and advertiser sometimes don't want to link on scandalous topic and the like.

too me it seems most people that get banned or whatever are people that arre not bringing a lot of traffic i think this is partly due to the sites are lower traffic and the "friend" clicks or "own" clicks on purpose or accident are more noticible.... But a way to be safe is not tell your friends about your site or tell them NOT to click your ads.

That's one of the reasons I don't like AdSense. I'm scared my account will get banned when it comes time to pay me. I see that happen all the time.

many new people in adsense are excited after opening their accounts and click their own ads, just to see money coming, everyone should be aware when opens and account that Google won't ban you right when you clicked your ads, it will ban you when you reach the $100.
