The Pagerank (PR) Thread

There is a big difference between Live Pagerank and Toolbar Pagerank.

Live Pagerank: This is your 'link popularity', the actual results of the pagerank algorithm based on the quality/quantity of links your site receive, it always fluctuates as long as you loose or gain new links, there is no way to see the actual live pagerank.

Toolbar Pagerank: It's a snapshot of your live pagerank, it is usually 3 months old (depends on what cache version of your site google is using). It means that, for each links you build to your sites, it's like you prepare your link popularity for the next 3 months + or -...

So even if we see the toolbar pagerank or not, it doesn't mean there are no pagerank anymore, it just means there is only live pagerank, the one that always fluctuates and play a big factor on ranking.

So when i say it's a conspiracy, i mean it. They zeroed so many people on this update!!! I'll blog about it soon and make a whole list ut it's more than 30 reputable sites/directories! They zeroed cause they hate that we sell links or get links in a weird kinda way or too fast.

And like Saad said on another thread, this update hurts for mainly directory owners who needs PR to actually prove their value to the submitters...

Google is slow very slow, whether it is for index your site or do updates. It's like Altavista now back in the 1998 when they tried to build a portal when everybody wanted a reliable engine, and thats why they lost.

 

Has the PR defo finished updating?

My site that started in October still has PR0 but the internal pages have PR3, how does that work where the internal pages have PR but the main page doesnt? Of course the main page has many more backlinks including lots of non reproical (sp) links from pr4/pr5 sites (relevant sites).

 

I've seen some in mine in subpages of one directory. But still waiting for more.

Im hoping some of my newer inner pages gain some PRs as well... exisiting inner pages are mainly PR5 and PR4 on my directory - i still cant get over how that happened as the majority of established directories don't have a PR 2 levels down, let alone 3!

Im seeing a pagerank 4 in the 90% of the DC for www. onemilliondirectory .com , the extrange is that this directory has no more than 1 month :/, its very extrange..

 

Owww. Some may be blessed maybe. But I bought a lot of deeplinks related.

my site pr has been updated too but i m also confused as some pages have PR 4 and others optimized and linked in a same way have still PR 0 after the updated PR is visible.. what can be the possible reason?

All sites went perfect except teenhut site... It is yet to a complete update. PR5 is shown at some pr checker sites and still 2 at some. Backlinks updated when I check links:domainname in google.com

But Pages are still not indexed. At other datacenter i saw that day showed 6700 pages indexed whereas, not showing up on google. Traffic on the site not increased since indexed pages are still the same, so only 350 uniques... I am hoping to get more once more pages get indexed.

 

I am waiting for update on one of my set of directories. But I am not that eager to see it coming. May be now its time to sleep and lets see tomorrow (its getting late this side of the world )

 

I don't think its over, atleast if it hasn't settled yet. My backlinks are still jumping up and down, and im yet to see any PR update.

The update would probably only take google 5 minutes if it weren't for all us webmasters slowing down the servers with constant PR checks!

 

Some of my site has gain PR (Internal pages) and on two of my site, PR has dissappeard completely , I think the update is on going

 

hmm nothing to do with the pr update.. but some of my new sites SERP's have dropped to nowhere, think they'll come back up once PR update is over?

 

I'm experiencing the same thing with older sites.

 

Why are Alexa, Digg, Myspace and some other sites are showing PR0 at my end? My own two years old site is showing PR0 at some DC's. Boy I am worried.

I'm in the same spot. Homepage is still PR1, but internals have changed from 0 to 3.

Yet, in sitemaps, my homepage is listed as the page with the highest PR, so methinks more is in store.

 

I'm not seeing any PR movement at all, yet.
