Hey guys, Ok, I admit it, I didn't follow the warnings of not to register domains at registerfly , but I couldn't resist it as they were so cheap. I registered 3 domains and paid with paypal, this was 2 days ago and I still can't see the domains in my account and according to the whois they are still available, yet still my Paypal account has been debited. I have tried contacting live support and it says my account does not exist. I have used their support emails system (no reply, and it doesn't give you a confirmation message if your email has been sent). I have also sent an email to and 24 hours later I recieved an email from google (I use gmail) saying that the the registerfly SMTP server does not exist. Does it always take this long time for my domains to arrive, or is it due to holiday season? Did I get ripped off? How do I ask for a refund(I know there is a section in the support, but their support system doesn't seem to work)? Or will I have to take this up with Paypal (does that usually work)? Thanks, from a worried webmaster, -William
A couple of months ago I tried 3 times to register a couple of domains and it failed everytime. So I went elsewhere and paid a little more. Then I got my CC bill and the charges were there 3 times to RF. I sent support an email and requested a refund to my CC and not a credit to my account. It took them 2 days to respond but they did do the right thing. If they had not I would have done a chargeback. My advice is to give them a chance to refund and chargeback if you absolutely have to.
Well.. though I wasnt happy after registering domains with them but still I had nosuch problem. The funds were transferred from paypal to registerfly account and then you choose the domain and choose to pay by paypal and they will credit it from the balance in your registerfly account . Try again Contacting them and wait for sometime as everyone is coming after vacations.
It says I have no funds in my account and the Paypal receipt just says "Quick check-out". I'll see what happens tomorrow.
Then maybe contacting the registerfly staff is only solution . Mail them about this . Hope for the Best ..!!
Just a warning before you do a chargeback: registrars consider them as fraud, no ifs ands or buts. They will lock any and all accounts whose 1st and last name name bears that of the disputed card in question. Nobody has to agree with them. But registrars do have the right to protect their behinds just like everyone else.
I finally got in touch with their live support. A person named "Robert" told me that it takes 7 to 10 days for domains to be processed. Now that is really inefficient as people could have time to register them before me. But, aslong as I get my domains I'm happy I guess, but I probably won't be doing any more business with them.
I had an issue with Registerfly Here so i moved to www.Dynadot.com i pay them via Moneybookers (they accept paypal as well) and .com/.net domains are for 7.99$ which is -2$ of Registerfly domains are registered instantly after i placed the order and the payment was processed instantly too love their service so far after 1 week of usage registering 3 domains and transferring one so far
Registerfly is bad. So many people have problems with them. It's no coicidence. Make me worried other regs will turn bad also.
Well it's gone 11 days now and I still don't have my domains. I filed a couple of support tickets yesterday and still no response. Their live chat is broken as well. I atleast want my money back (would however prefer the domains). Hm.
Ive a different story with them, i think there is a link to it somewhere inside this thread sorry it's kinda long to tell but short version is that they claim i scammed them
Do not talk to "live support" guys. They got no clue whats going on, so just open a ticket and wait for reply. Once they answered my ticket after 14 days, anotehr ticket took 5 days (in both cases i solved my problems myself long before they answered). Tip: IF you got the money in your balance and no domains got registered after "quick checkout", re-register those domains again, but this time one by one. For exmple, if you want 5 domains, register 3 of them and then 2 more. Worked for me.
You can also be agressive, if they dont answer, fill up their box with a lot of tickets until they answer.
I also enountered issues with RF and have since moved all domains over to Dynadot. They are a lot friendlier and more reliable.
Exactly Mixke. They're not perfect, but IT works for me. I have 8 domains there and it shows fine and all dns changed very fast. They're upgrading but it's still pretty good for me. Nothing major. Thanks, ivnj
Weird. I registered my domain names just fine 2 days ago. Except I just registered one a few days ago that is still not registered. My other domains registered just fine but this one didn't get registered at all and my account is charged as well. I have opened a support ticket (don't know how long it will take for them to respond) 1st time was less than 24 hours. 2nd time was 48 hours. Good luck in your case :s
Dealing with the same thing. I use support tickets because I'll just tell them where to shove it on the phone. A week later and I sent the 3rd thing they asked for me and waiting on the 48 hour reply which is about how long they've been taking.
