Is it possible that google doesn't count all clicks?

I was just checking my status from yesterday that provided by google Adsense and another site that provide status for me and I found out that google has 2 less clicks then the status showing with another status site...

Do you think that google is only counting 80 or 90 percent of the clicks? How can we make sure that it credits every click?

heard somewhere that google is gonna allow some clickfraud, so, they may filter out some invalid clicks instead of the publisher.
    not sure though.

There is no way to track who clicks on an ad on your page besides using Google's statistics. Any other way is just an educated guess. I don't think you should be worrying about what Google does, since you can't control what they do. Even if they were only counting 80% of the clicks, what would you plan on doing? Calling them up and saying, hey you're only counting 80% of my clicks, this isn't fair? You get what they give you, that's how it works.

If you dont' trust the creator's statistic, who else is more trusted than that?

in my opinion, google does not cheat you on the statistic.

I have read some articles regarding that and also googles strategy for tracking clicks, what I have found so far is
(*) Google do not count double click as 2 clicks rather it will count it a single click and suppose that the second click is accidental if (if the second click is within the period of 3-5 seconds)

(*) If google detects that the click is invalid via it's automatic detection it will still count it as a click and will report this to you in your publisher account but the earning against that click will be $0.00 (I hope several of you have seen this before)

They also count some invalid clicks and consider them invalid via their automatic detection and do not pay you for these clicks.

I think they still show every click, though.....the other stat program is probably wrong.

blind faith in any company is a bad thing. I don't suppose that google is cheating us, however, lets hope that the algo's are doing their job. it's funny but at times I swear theres a 'normalizing' process in play. This isn't something you can see over the course of a couple of months either, but instead a year or two...

Third party AdSense tracking software may not be accurate.

I wonder if the same person clicked the same ad twice or something.

Maybe switch to something else that does count 100%?

According to today's status... it's only showing 20%... all right... I am not trust the status completely but does that seem to be off a little? I highly doubt no one is testing over here....

However... I do believe if they are having a problem, it could be whats going on these days... they seem to be busy.

If you know anything about javascript, and how these trackers are tracking the clicks, then sure you can try to argue your point. But assuming they work perfectly and arguing that they do and Google is the one who is wrong with no evidence won't get you far. If you're not comfortable with javascript ads that can't be tracked accurately on the user end, then you're free to try another program.
