Adlogger no workie-poo - what else can I use to track clicks?

    Hey there,

Sort of a newbie here but learning quick.

Recently devoted a lot of time developing a movie fansite.

I don't have any enemies but am worried that perhaps some evil anonymous person may click-bomb my ads and get me in trouble with Google.

I successfully installed and configured Adlogger but it has not recorded any clicks. Adsense has recorded numerous clicks. I went through all my pages with a fine-toothed comb and the script is correctly inserted in each page. After doing a lot of research it seems that many people have problems with Adlogger.

Is there an alternative? What can I do to prevent someone from jeapordizing all my hard work?

    Thanks for any advice.

in addition to the code around each ad, did you put the "other" code on every page? Have you posted your problem over ad the adlogger support forum??
I've been using Adlogger for months and it's worked great..

"other" code? no. i searched the support forums and found 3 or 4 unresolved issues the same as mine - no clicks being recorded.

some guy removed the google syndication code and got his adlogger to work but i don't want to mess around with Google's code.

what is this "other" code please?

you need the tracking code on every page:
then you need the PHP wrapper code around each ad:
also, are you sure that your database is setup correctly and that Adlogger can write to it?

Thanks for the info. I read about the wrapper code... from what I understood I though I did not have to use this featuer.

I thought I could just use the basic logging function without having to use the wrapper.

you're right - you only need the wrapper code if you want to be able to block ads to certain users (like ones that click too many times) - i should have pointed that out.

if you have the tracking code on every page, then it could be a problem with Adlogger not being able to write to your DB.. I would post a message in the Adlogger forum with your specific setup and issue..

Wow, thanks for the great advice.

I have the same adlogger problems as well.

Will go to their forums and check it out!

    Thanks!

Tearabite - thanks for the help - I just finished modding the htaccess file to parse my pages as php and added the wrapper and cache control code to all my pages. Hopefully this will get it working.

Don't forget! There is also a third piece of code, which should be at the top of each page!
