    Maybe. :p

I really did see some gestapo members and besides Neb is there, dressed as a house pet or menace.

Thanks, brizzie. You might be an admin there but I still don't trust the Site Owner.

    Not very well recommended.

For private chat it would be up to Admin33 as the notice says but no-one is going to stop you registering and posting elsewhere as long as you keep to the forum rules. I don't know if this site has a private chat area for friends and moderators but if it has and they didn't want me in there then I wouldn't take it as an insult and it doesn't stop me participating in this bit.

There is no-one I know of there I would recognise with that tag but I think everyone is happy with the light touch as regards moderation. I don't expect everything to be chintz and fluffy bunnies - if you want a probing debate and frank views you can have them and you are not going to get the thread and your user account locked. The balance here is about right I would say so I would personally tend to moderate on about the same level.

Editors are going to have different views to you, and each other. I am sure there are plenty of editors, including some there, who are violently opposed to my views and approach to DMOZ issues. It would be a very bland world if everyone was on the same wavelength on everything. I think Neb makes a lot of sense on a lot of subjects and if you don't it isn't a problem, jaw-jaw not war-war.

Have you given him a chance or are you going by what others around here think? What is not to trust - do you think if you post there he is going to go in and edit what you say? It hasn't even occured to me whether I trust the DP site owner, I just post. The thing is to try it and see - if you don't like then don't participate.

seo-mumbai - do you still have the pm the "editor" sent you at Resource-Zone? If so, something might be able to be done about it. You won't get your money back but the individual can be removed so they won't cheat anyone else, at least via that forum.

Oh well, at least your experience should serve as a lesson for others - don't try and bribe an editor, you have a good chance of being scammed by someone who claims to be an editor but isn't.

moreover even if we manage to list site there is always danger that other editors will delete link if they think out site is not good.

It is not about private chat, I already know more about DMOZ issues than most of these people will ever know. ;)

I looked around in that forum and I just got a feeling that this is a wanna be resource zone with the same mentality instead of a specialized DMOZ forum in the spirit of didgitalpoint. Looking at The people involved in that forum strengthened my opinion since some of them are the typical ass kissers in RZ which makes you wonder why are they participating in that forum. Is it because their ass kissing in RZ isn't paying off?

All these are spam bot login names. Google them for fun, you'll see what I mean.

Ok i am confused how can one tell if someone is a dmoz editor or not? Is there a list of names on dmoz itself that states the editors identity ? If not why and who should you trust and call a dmoz editor?

You can't call a DMOZ editor. They are Luddites and they have not yet learned how to answer the phone.

There is a list of senior editors, those who have expanded permissions at http://www.dmoz.org/edoc/editall.html

Additionally, if you have the editor name, you can look up an individual profile by substituting the editor name for xxxx in this address: http://www.dmoz.org/profiles/xxxx.html
