If you had an unlimited budget to spend on advertising with myspace what would you do?

If you're referring to the whole idea fof making accounts and posting bulletins, I would have a top of the line application developed. We're talking one that runs from its own personal server cluster and is extremely versatile and multithreaded. It would be able to be creating accounts on the fly while simultaneously sending friend requests. Imagine creating 200-400 accounts daily and being able to, at the ame time, send out some 400 friend requests from each, DAILY!

That's a lot of friends. And a lot of accounts. Preferably it would have a very usable PHP control panel to have full control over all of its features.

However, as that would cost around $10,000, it's out of the picture right now. :D But you did say unlimited...

So as far as "legit" marketing goes, I would definitely turn MySpace into a billboard for my site haha.

Well, I wouldn't spend it on MySpace. But, in sticking to the question... :)

I would develop a whole new site altogether, that somehow ties into MySpace, and use that in conjunction with my MySpace marketing.

$7K is enough to get them to talk to you about it.

I'm not sure of their rates but I heard that a guy had his account hosed but was able to get it cleared on account of advertising that his company was doing with them.

I think a featured profile would be pretty cool or any one of the 212 ads per page that you see ;)

What about running your ads on all your competors friends edit pages. Or just running ads on people pages that use your niches keywords in the content areas. Do you think myspace can do this kind of thing?

what about having images with your website in the corner to set off somethihng viral, just a thought.

otherwise get in there with a banner ad or two, test and track results to make them better then, rinse and repeat, test, test, test.

i know the rich jerk is splashed all over myspace i.e. top banner ads atm, he must be paying a squillion dollars for those....hope his conversions are good LOL!

I would put my own groups/bands/artists on the front page, featured, just like everyone else with a lot of money :)

Myspace is getting pretty useless now though... especially as a musician, all I get is "come check out the new song" messages all day, and can't even be bothered to search for valid comments.
