Hi, I have a couple of videos uploaded on YouTube, and there has been 5,000 views in the last 4 days. In my video descriptions, I have a link to my website. Here is my questions: - what would be a good description/headline, to make people 'open' the description box, and then click on my website link? (links are only clickable, when you open the desciption box). - are there any other great tips, to make people come to your website from your YouTube videos? (besides placing the videos directly on my site). Thanks! Boris
my question to you is how do you put links in a youtube movie description. No matter what I try I can't do it. Please tell me. thanks
Hi iul, Type in the whole URL in your video description, for instance: Click Here for more videos http://myvideos,com BUT...the URL is only clickable, when the user clicks the "(more...)" tab.
you can say something like "Do not click here if you wanna more..." the reverse phsycology usually works.
I have a video with 15,000 views. And the " Here for more videos www...." generated only one click :-( The link in description have never worked for me.... But when I propose "teasing videos" (only the first 10 S. for example), this drive a lot of traffic to my website.
An other Tip : Post videos from a user with your domain name inside. Example : the user "coolvideodotcom" is better than "coolvideo".
if you know anything about video editing, stamp your videos with your domain name and you will catch a lot more bees. Takes a bit more time, but well worth it.
In this case, it's all about the video. If you're putting up a video of a cat doing something funny, and telling people there's more at your site you aren't going to get traffic. If you're making original video programming, youtube is great for trailers, clips and etc from that. Music videos, comedy shows, etc all get great youtube promo. Tom greens new online show for example (www.tomgreen.com)
