Direct-link-ads money generated per year?

I was checking out this site direct-link-ads. They have a section where you can type in your website url and they will tell you how much money you can generate per year on a 10 links per site basis.
My site casinovampire.com would generate 40 pounds sterling a year. Apparently. Now that doesn't sound like megabucks, but it represents a clear profit on a website I do almost nothing to promote, that gets minimal traffic. It is a nice little site, well-designed I think, but I guess everyone thinks that about their baby.
If it were THAT easy, wouldn't everyone be knocking up websites left, right and center. I could easily knock up a 100 in a year and make 3000 pounds a year, after server charges, which apparently I would have to do nothing to maintain. All seems a bit too easy.
Further, I have another non-profit site, 6to5blackjack.org, which would apparently make me 1400 GBP a year, if I decided to monetize it through these guys.
I thought they might be inflating the estimate to suck people in, but when I typed in other well-known sites the earnings figure didn't seem out of line.

Is there something screwy about this site and its estimations? I notice text-link-ads, who seem to be the industry leader in the field, don't offer this estimation service. Any one have any experience with this bunch?

(Please tell me if mentioning the urls is out of line here, I got the impression it is ok to do this).

I think if you go to tools on text link ads, you can get an estimate according to link position and all that like what you are talking about..

Thanks for the tip. They told me I could make $80 a month. So I submitted my site and they declined, probably on grounds of low traffic.

I have a much higher traffic site I can submit, but this doesn't bode well. The qualifying criteria is explained nowhere at text link, which sucks. They give you the false impression of the cash you can generate and waste your time submitting an application which they reject on unknown grounds. Great way to lose goodwill. Not sure why this company gets a good press.

Text-Link-Ads use an automated site approval script that they have made. So I guess your site didn't meet some of the standards that are required to get approved.

I have submitted 2 sites to them so far and they both got approved.

    Thanks. Any idea why?
The vibe I got from googling is that this program is only for the big boys? Do you have high traffic and/or Alexa ranking, lots of links to your site and so on?

One site has a good alexa ranking, PR6 and good search engine rankings and backlinks.

The other site has not much traffic, PR5 and not so good search engine rankings or backlinks.

One of my sites got accepted by TLA but after 3 months I received no links whatsoever so I removed their dormant script from my site as I don't like 3rd party scripts sitting on my site that appear to be doing nothing.
