Onsite SEO and dynamic content

I'm in the process of starting a bog project where I've a premium domain name that exactly represents the main keyword of the site and the site will have dynamic (updated daily) content and i'm not sure how SEO will help in driving Search engine traffic for this site

I've read before that having the main keyword in the domain name is a plus in SEO work and I've to confirm if SEO can make good job in this situation and if SEO principles are general and can be used in all different niches or every case needs special optimization.

 

Sure.. KWs in the domain can hepla bit, but you'll still need target pages and link profile development to go along with it..

What kind of site is it?

 

Actually it's a good domain for "DVD Rental" or something around and i'm thinking of putting amazon links there and make some SEO and wait for the money to pour into my pocket

Hahahahhaha Good luck. haha.. Not sure about how it works out there, but in Norway, I would say that over 90% of the Internet Users are clever enough to NOT buy from such pages.

 

Why is that ?

Keyword domain helps greatly especially for some search engines such as MSN. Just make sure to attract relevant inbound links and format your web page properly

How far can SEO help in a dynamic content site (does it always depend on the home page ? ) and do SEO friendly urls really help ? and will the domain with the target keyword help too ?

 

You need to work on every page of the site. Keywords in urls do help a bit. Keyword in the domain helps a bit too.

 

Agree, Amazon is very popular when it comes to books in Norway. Ebay is regarded as a marketplace where people buy junk! Here people use other local services.

Well no offense, but just look at the all "be rich" guides that sells like hell in US, there are none such thing here. We just call it for SPAM, and the people who buys for Idiots!

 

But i think online shopping is popular and good thing because it makes you browse many products in few minutes and this is something you can't do in real life

i'll be targeting DVD selling and i don't think it's hard to market such goods
