    Hi!
Backlink and if you want a sitemap..

For example, if you have added 100 pages to your site, the best is try to get some backlinks to your home page (remember to add these pages in your sitemap and some in your home page).

    Best regards,
    Jakomo

I used an online based sitemap generator for all mys sites and linked it to all the pages, including the home page. Lets see how that goes.

Backlinks are not very much important for only indexing.. a fewer backlinks will work for you.. i get my site indexed on 3rd day and its keep indexing with new pages without many backlinks...

Just make sure you keep SEO rules in your site and keep your pages unique by keywords and description meta, this may prevent you from supplemental hell

Thats all taken care of. Don't get me wrong, all the sites are well covered by google in terms of the number of pages indexed, but I want all pages on all sites indexed, or at least close to the full number of pages.

I do not build backlinks for my inner pages but I do have sitemaps for my websites. In one of my websites, my new pages are being indexed in less than 2 days after the sitemap has been regenerated

Everytime I add new content I regenrate or add to the sitemap to insure all the content is in the sitemap and linked to all the pages.

There is no need. Just create a sitmap that can be read by all the search engines. I don't think there is a need to specifically submit a sitemap to google, is there?

I just use these steps as a rule of thumb:

    1. Submit sitemap so that Google know about it.
    2. Make every page reachable at one-click-from-external-link (means when somebody clicks on some other site and comes to your site, he should be able to reach your other pages by just one click). so for example if you have 3 level directory structure, then get back-links for all second level directory links.
    3. Keep 50:50 ratio for homepage and internal pages backlinks (means get X amount of links to homepage, then surely get X amount of links for your internal pages as well).
Thats what I do and it seems to be working fine for me as of now.

It is advised to submit a new sitemap whenever there is changes :) It can be done in our Google Sitemap account.

The sitemap feature in google webmaster central is really not a guarantee of anything. A good internal sitemap does help a lot. But building links to your site (whether internal or not really doesn't matter that much, I don't think) is also a good idea. Sometimes it merely takes patience.

How would you go about reaching any page in the site by just one click?

As I told you by example: If you have 3 level links, then get links to all second level pages. Similarly if you have 4 level links (though not very good), get links to all 3rd level pages (which links to 4th level pages, as well as 1st and 2nd level by breadcrumb).

Yes, you need to submit your sitemap to search engines so that bots can spider all your pages, except if one or more pages have a nofollow command.
