I think were going to have to wait a few days. I think they are testing there new paid & exchanged links filter and seeing what the results look like before posting them.
My PR has been up and down like it's teasing me or something... perhaps my Google tool bar isn't working correctly... I've only just got around to creating CSS styled H1 tags on my main site so I hope I've done it in time to be included in this latest update... Do Google favour sites that have AdSense ads?
Hey man I feel for you. I see no changes and believe me with the ammount of backlinks I have waiting I will be one of the first to know of an update been doing this for 8 years. Now on a lighter note if we could just do a hack where people who have the G toolbar installed and have DP account cannot post PR update threads unless they have some major mojo ....
We've got a thread for this here already. Seriously, the public update hasn't even happened and we're getting these threads.
I think google hasn't updated the PR yet. I have one question to ask.. Is this iwebtool pr predictor tool is relaible?? Right now its predicting that my next PR will be 4.. do i have any chance?
im fed up with all these thread....everytime i jump in dissapointed to see i got no pr upgrades only to realise i was fooled again
But am happy that pr update has not taken place yet. It means i still have a chance. Anyone for my iwebtool question??
I have to say I have never really worried too much about PR - I see that little green bar as more of an indication as to when Hurricane Google is about to blow. Unless my PR doesn't settle after an update, I usually don't stress it too much - but that's probably just me.
Google stopped updating the pagerank bar so frequently as a step toward ending the obsession with pr. Dont be surprised when the green bar updates become more infrequent. Stop punishing yourself now while its still not too painful. The benefits of quality backlinks are never attributed to your page all at once. The benefit is dished out in increments as the link ages. Rather than watching your pr bar you should read what Matt Cutts has to say.
Can you please point me to where you got the part where google has stopped updating the bar so frequently. thx
I rarely use tools like that coz they can end up giving you ulcers (jk) But seriously, I did used to use every web tool in the book but after a while the results got too skewed depending on whether Google was having a hissy fit or not at the time and even iwebtool itself says clearly that the predictor tool is only an estimate, not precise. When I put in two of my sites it came back with results that were only 78% accurate, by their own admission. If you want to use that tool then go ahead by all means - but it isn't gospel and the web changes constantly so don't be surprised if the replies that these tools give you don't tally up with the end result that you get. Don't put too much faith in web tools - many are useful but good SEO is more than punching your web page URL into a little box and crossing your fingers that Google/Yahoo/MSN may suddenly fall in love with your site. Just my opinion though - many will probably shoot me down over it.
