Has anyone had any luck marketing with opt in email ....if yes can you give any other information about the service and how well it worked for you. Thanks in advance for your input. John
opt in email ? if you're not buying emails database but get the emails from your own visitors that interested in your content then it is great opportunity to convert into sales. But if you're planning on buying emails database, better not do it, cause usually people don't read emails from people they don't know, and usually those emails, right away go to junk folders.
I think you are speaking about taking your visitors emails with an opt in form, and following up with autoresponders? If yes, it is very lucrative. After people land on your site, they will probably never come back. There are millions of sites on the net. You need to capture their email addresses. Look at services like aweber, you can take their free ecourse. Let me know if you need help.
Check out this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1973489&postcount=19 Email lists are a brilliant way of staying in touch with your potential and existing customers, and lots of people make lots of money. For example, say you've got 100,000 people on your list and you send a promotion for a $67 product for which you receive $27 commission. 1% conversion = $27,000 for 10 minutes work
Email Marketing like all will certianly work if done with proper efficiency and most importantly not spamming . Hvae a "Subscribe to us" button/link in your website for the emails, instead of going to email databases.
Email marketing is perhaps the most effective tool in online marketing. I have my own newsletter, and I use GetResponse as my autoresponder. Studies show that follow-up marketing (an autoresponder series) in general will lead to a sale or a lead on the 7th email. In short...it will take up to 7 emails for your subscriber/visitor to take some kind of action. That is why email marketing is so effective, because you have the leads in your autoresponder, and can do follow-up marketing from that.
I concur with this. Of course there are about a hundred different types of email marketing and the effectiveness varies based on the offering, the list and other factors, many environmental, so it's hard to say what might help the OP without more info. It has any number of drawbacks (particularly when managing a large list of 1mm+) and can be a mighty pain in the butt even for the whitest of white hats, but it's still the only reliable (semi-reliable, really) online push method and that alone makes it worth its weight in gold.
Yeah and don't discount the viral effect - If your smart you can increase the effect by a factor of 100 +
I agree with pretty much everybody emails work great if there your own database I will never in my life buy a email list i never want to be put down for spam...
I agree! Don't ever buy someone else's email list. You can never be sure, if they are legal and not to mention, targeted at all.
aweber is a great auto-responder at a resonable price, look into using them if you want to use an autoresponder
Yes, having a mailing list works well. It is good to give out good information plus to give away free items as well. You can also send them to read your newsletter online and have some ads or adsense around the articles as some extra income. Debbie
Shoemoney had a NetIncome show with a guest from xy7. He said that most of their big earners are from email marketing. Legit email marketing that is.
