My first adsense site and I need help with the next step

    Hey please take a lot at my very first site with adsense,
    www.myfamilymatters.org. please tell me what you think good or bad. and some advise on how to market this site on the internet. signed a novice seeking a pro.

    Looks pretty good. If it was ME, i would replace your adsense referral with a Firefox referral, and put something like "this site designed to be viewed with Firefox".. Assuming that most of your vistors will be 'parents' and not web-masters, i'm betting you'll do far better with the FF referral than the Adsense referral..

    get rid of the adsense refferal. too much flash and you are not going to get many clicks with your adsense placement

    Decrease the size of top menu buttons.
    Decrease header size.
    Change that blue color.
    Decrease right side bar width. Increase middle content width.
    Site needs lots of optimization.

    Your right side bar is huge, much bigger then it needs to be. This makes your content squeeze up and annoying to read.

    I would size that down and take out the ads and blend them in with your content(above, in, left, right, under). After reading a great article about the issue their will be an ad right in their face. The left and ride sidebars don't get much attention so it's easy to skip over.

    Also, the page is too big for 800x600 users(which I have noticed older people use *parents*).

    1.decrease size of top menu bottom.
    2.decrease th width of your header
    3.put adsense horizontal link ads on top just below the menu

    Looks prtty nice. It looks the site is made up of shared content, not always the best idea.
