See, there you go again, focusing on others behaviors. This is a webmaster forum, not a sociology one. -Michael
Adobe wrote back. They said that they'd sell 50 outbound sitewide links from the footer of the page; but they'd hide the links using a css display none function so its invisible to users (but works perfectly for Google). they preferred sites that were hardcore porn and banned by google, though. I'll be your contact for the links and I'll charge a hefty commission, though! just incase you don't get it, this was sarcasm
No, you're still misunderstanding, he's not talking about buying links. Look at his sig... he was asking how much he should tack on to the top of a site's value based on the PR. So, even if your site is making no money, and has no traffic, by virtue of being a PR10, it should be (according to his original estimates) be worth $450. Linkbait, as I said earlier, the only way your estimates were even ballpark was if you were talking about renting links. The number you have don't even come close. They are way way off, and it isn't a linear progression. It also depends on how you got the PR in the first place. A site that has a PR7 due to renting a single PR8 link isn't worth much at all, if that's the only link. One that is a solid PR5 with 3k non-sitewide backlinks would be worth a fair amount. -Michael
Linkbait, your original post is confusing to experienced webmasters who are used to evaluating the worth of a site on many criteria, one of the least important being PR. I read your original post and like the respondents had no idea what you were asking. Respondents, please do not upset OP any further. Thanks
Not sure what the offer is all abt . Are u offering a direct PR to a new site? I am not bothered how are you doing that ( weather you are offering 10 Pr sites or linking a presnt site ) if that is so give me 10 PR 10 sites .
Actually thinking about it though, his question might be a sociological one. Since the parameters of the original request are impossible to get an accurate answer for he might just be interested in what the perceived value of a PRx site is. In that case this makes a bit more sense.
If anyone is interested in the value of a link on one page based on PageRank, take a look at the Determining Value of a Link using PageRank thread.
What do you mean by say it worth, do you mean the cost to purchase a domain name or do you mean the cost to purchase a link on that PR Domain?
As far as your pricing goes, i would adjust the prices to a more exponential scale. PR1s arent worth that much. PR10s are worth, well, millions, considering there are only a handfull of sites at that level. Hope this gives you the basic idea. whoever is curious of how much a PR10 link costs here might be an idea: http://www.text-link.us/product_11794_detailed.htm Allright, back on topic!
Ok ..PR 10 link for 450 ..500 ..NOT SO >>Is my guess anyone that has a clue what PR is ..would hold that pr-10 like it was gold. hahah..text links alone would drive the price ..up ..I bet I could sell 30 links for that price with a PR 10 ..lol Just my take on it ..but if you do have a pr10 site for 400 or 500 ..I give ya 519.95 BIN right now .....lol
