NEW Adsense Ad Format!

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by blogaddict, Jan 5, 2007.

Ok, let's just say Google came out with a new ad format that had images and text like Blogads.com - advertiser gets to choose the image they want and both the image and text are clickable giving equal payout regardless of which one is clicked on.

I think something like this would help publishers get more clicks and help advertisers get relevant clicks at the same time. What do you think...or do I need to go to bed? ha!

I'm going to send an email to Google to suggest this... if you like it, please do the same.

    See ad example below:

That would be interesting, but if google doesn't allow "images next to text" customization directly from the users, i doubt they would introduce something like that which the users can choose their own images, unless the images are related to the ads.

Just to clarify, this hypothetical new format would let the advertiser choose the image.

Thats looks like an alternative way of images next to ads, but provided by Google Itself... this is a great ad if it comes to all of publishers :)

You guys really aren\'t that dense are you?

If this new format is legit than that would explain why Google isn\'t allowing publishers to put they\'re own images next to ads anymore.

Hmmm, I don't know if they'd fall for that. As I saw someone already point out, they obviously don't like images being near ads, and that decision probably came at the demands of AdWords advertisers.

This could be a good idea, because the new policy says, the images are sometimes not relevent to the ad, so that the user confuses with the image relating to the link and clicks... and with this idea, the advertisers themselves can place some related images next to the text links, now the user would be much appreciated for clicking the link can see related image information..

Do remember images next to ads gives you more CTR comparing to a normal one... If google likes publishers to get more CTR and also protecting advertisers, I think defenitely they should consider this one..

I am sending an email to google that they consider this format as a suggestion.... who knows, maybe they will actually listen. Perhaps if we all email them? :)

I should post this image in the adwords forum and see what they think.

No they haven't... that was their test where they put similar stock images next to ads. This would be where the ADVERTISER chooses the image to go along with their text ad.

but, I'm sure it doesn't matter...they probably wouldn't listen to a suggestion anyway.
