Hello! I'm an inhabitant of sweden, witch have had a social democratic government for about 80-years, and we have very high taxes on the income: 33%. And for thoose who earns over 26000SEK (about 3000$) a month, they pay 50% on everything over that. Since the picture of USA here in sweden is that it is capitalism and very low taxes, I wonder, how high taxes on the incomes do you have in the U.S of A? A question I've had in my head for some time Kalle
Only 33% ? Here in Quebec it's around 55% Yes, I'm planning on moving elsewhere someday. Some place where the taxes are almost inexistant. I don't think there's a minimum like your $3000. At least, not that I know of. But then again, I'm not a fiscalist
Hej Kalle, It varies depending upon your income...the rate increases as your income increases. But w. more income, there are more opportunities to do things that decrease your tax liability. Spent a month in your country last year and loved it.
Wow, 55%? Thats crazy Then you have like communism or something in Canada. I will move some day too. To Monaco or USA. Heard that they don't have any taxes there (Monaco). Don't know how true it can be though. Kalle
Nope, no communism. We are a democracy (on paper, at least) and I think it's just her in Quebec, because some other provinces have a very low taxes rate. I think it's just bad gestion from the provincial government.
I was mainly in Stockholm and Orebro. One of the coolest places I have ever been to was the island of Birka for an afternoon.
I forgot the numbers, but we aren't a fully capitalist state...by any standard. Last time I checked we were a little smaller than Canada. I hope someone posts the numbers...I can't remember, and I'm too lazy to find out.
