Amen. I refuse to do hyphens. You wanna be African-American? Show me some papers. We're all from somewhere, and no one cares. Get over yourself. Better yet, make yourself into something useful - Then you won't have to glean your identity from a "useless" source (such as your race, your sexual preference, your nationality, your religion, etc.)

It's white history month every month. If you win the battles and the wars, and you have the majority of the population you get to write history from your perspective. In New Zealand you have the Maori club and the Polynesian Club at most schools. People from all different backgrounds (polynesian, white, black, asian) join these clubs to learn the songs and the dancing of the pacific.
If they want to make a white club let them... i am not white and it will not offend me... we have a chinese, black and gay club at our school. if someone white wants to make a club let them! People just have to make a big deal about something little.
There's nothing racist about having pride in being white, there's a lot of stupidity though. Same goes for having pride in being black, asian, or etc. Be proud of your culture, not something that's completely arbritrary. And if you are proud of skin color, how can you call someone who is proud of the same thing a racist? It's complete hypocrisy.
The problem with any pride group, whether black, white, asian ... is that there will be extremists joining, and they will most likely be the most vocal members giving the organization (the members in general) a bad name.
