3-5 months ago, I read a great article (in print) about the way Ebay, Google, and Yahoo interact.
Sparing you excess details, lets say they sometimes cooperate, while usually competing with each other.

Can You Use Adsense On A Project Which Eventually Competes With Google?

For simplicity (and to avoid too much blatent promotion) let's assume a Mysterious Fantasy Global Ecommerce Adventure Game (targeting college students).
At first glance it's "harmless, futuristic and very fun", but as the game progresses the fantasy starts to turn real.

In other words, can a large, fun, futuristic, fantasy project profit from Adsense while building something which will compete with Google?
Important Note: We do not spell out so clearly any future competition with Google (or mention them hardly at all), but the potential will be obvious.

I'm seriously asking, "Can You Use Adsense On A Project Which Eventually Competes With Google?"

    Thank you.

Sorry, but I doubt they are worried about it ;)
As long as your site follows their TOS your fine.

I don't see any problems - you're being too vague, though, so maybe your site is not even competing with Google?

Very good point, your example fully answers the question.
    Thanks :)
