one of the many reasons why google should keep adsense code ID as a tuple of owner+website name so that such incidences can be avoided I am sure things will go in your favour,Pankaj. Cheers. Keep us updated.
There is no reason it should go against him! But, google never listens! I had a bitter experience with them only recently.
i couldn't think even that particular guy could do this to me. When i looked at the url in mail from google which was of that dp member only.
is he used your adsense code only at his page ? or he used his codes also there ? now u get banned or u r adsense account working well ? 4 days left now.
this morning i am able to login at my adsense a/c but i didn't get reply to my mail from google. So i hope it's still live
Westhaven, I hope it works out for you. I do not know Indian laws, but in the United States, someone doing such actions could be sued and financially held accountable for the damage and your lost income, especially if they caused permanent ban from Google. It is called tortious interference.
westhaven just tell google the truth and google will disable the adsense on that particular website. wish you all the best
There is a simple solution to this problem. Why Google has not thought of it is beyond me. If there is no channel id, the site should be invalid. I guess what I am saying is, the channel should be tied to the site URL. If the URL does not exist and or correspond to the channel ID listed in the adsesne code, then the site would not be validated. Problem solved. Google, feel free to send consulting fees to via paypal!
Argh, sorry to hear about this! I have heard about people abusing others ads by click bombs, but not by using their pub ID. Best of luck with the outcome.
Congrats for that, but i think your new year totally spoiled by that way! wonder why people jealous if anyone earn with his own way own mind own hard work! ohh yeah "westhaven" name so popular then anyone but still cool, hope you will soon recover all thing! hope you didnt put whole eggs on one basket! what i find intersting thing is that we dont get tracked by any pub-id but google still showing "google_ad_client"
I have already been screwed 3 times by different-2 DP members and on the top i love staying with DP people. Coz they are very helpful to me and every day i learn a lot from them.
I don't understand this. There is an easy way of protecting your webpages from such thing. Strange Google havn't cared about doing it. The way is to give the publisher two options: *Let his/her adds be shown on all pages that want to. (Like it is now) *Write a list with sites to allow, rest will not count as your adds, and will show thoose charity adds instead. In this way, noone can place your adds on their webpage and abuse the TOS. Google must have thought of it before, strange they havn't done it yet. But what do they care, their reputation is better the more people they ban from adsense. That makes people look at Google as a site clean from abusers.
