Got the warning email

Received the warning email about non-compliance. They are saying I have adult content or a "mature theme" on pages with Adsense. My main site is a celebrity niche. Lots of photos of beautiful celebs, some in bikinis and lingerie, content drawn from mainstream publications, no nudity, profanity or nasty stories on the site.

Seems like a bad joke. It's a choice between featuring my core content, beautiful celebrities, or having some unknown character at G decide what is "adult content".

I'm pulling Adsense of the site. Maybe it will be useful on one of my other sites.

staying away from anything even remotely "adult" related is the best move. I make sure my code is placed on sites that completely falls under the TOS.

Not the kind of medicine that causes certain body parts to elongate, right?

I think I know what might have triggered the little person at G. I used the word "fetish" on the page he/she referenced in the email. The story was about chocolate, that's right. And how some people have a fetish for chocolate. And on that page are two pretty models feeding each other chocolate.

One page was given as an example, with the vague comment that any other noncompliant pages need to be corrected within 3 days. I pointed out there is no adult content on my site but in order to cater to their whims I removed the referenced page anyway (I didn't really say it like that but that's what I meant). And I asked for clarification since there is no adult content on my site - that'll be worth a laugh, a response if any will be vague and meaningless.

OK sounds like you and I got the exact same e-mail. I e-mailed them back too but haven't heard from them yet. I just erased anything that had to do with "pussy" from the post... now it just sounds retarded.

No mistake in my case since they provided an URL to one of my pages. The only mistake is someone's idea of what "adult content" is.

Yes - stories about pretty people - bad, very bad. I should go back to writing stories about ugly people like me.

I got an email today too regarding an article in my article directory being Mature content.

Can't complain though as I would consider it mature content, but then again, I would also consider an article on buying property or post graduate course adult content and of a mature theme too.

Anyways, I have removed the articled referenced.... am thinking whether to send them an email back to say so or actually remove adsense from that site entirely.

Good move. There's nothing special about AdSense and there's lots of other choices you could use.

That is true. The main benefit of Adsense is that you don't have to do more than create content and place the Adsense code. After that Adsense does the rest - picking and serving the ads (sometimes quite well, sometimes not) - and sending you a check each month.

But there is good, often better, money elsewhere. I'm just scratching the surface on that and not ready to switch completely off Adsense. So their timing to go weirdo on me is not convenient.
