Wordpress > static html

Why does it seem like Google indexs blogs / wordpress sites faster than static html sites? Or is it just me? Started a blog and have been making 6 posts or so a day. 3 days later its already indexed by google (new domain). However, my site thats 2 weeks old that receives 200 uniques per day and Im sure has 30+ backlinks on it now isnt indexed at all. This has happened to me before. Sorry if this is a repost and thanks for taking the time to read this thread.

there may be some reasons.. like your static html pages may vary on their SEO techniques... but it does not matter for indexing whether your site is based on wordpress, joomla or it is static.. i have a site made by Moveabletype and all site is static html based and it was indexed within a week....

Wordpress themes are highly SE optimized.....and for indexing, i don't think you need a lot of backlinks...

a blog with wordpress sends a ping to technorati etc. whenever a post is made. that gives google a starting point to index your wordpress site where as this doesn't happen with your static site. list your static site here in your dp signature and it would get indexed soon too :)

Yeah to add to onedollar's comment, if you have the wordpress sitemap plugin installed as well, you ping google sitemaps everytime you make an update to your blog too.

I don't believe google see's your signature. When google scans the forums, all signatures are blocked out.

But i do agree with your technorati concept.

I get all my static webpages indexed just as fast as my wordpress blogs.

As noted by others I've had some new sites get indexed solely by links in my DP signature.

It's all about pinging. The more you post the more it pings the more it pings the more backlinks you get. The more backlinks the faster you are indexed. Also wordpress comes with some se optimization already included take a look at your source code in a browser you'll notice things normal websites don't have.

    Thank You

A LOT of things. First there is the feed which is the alternate tags in the blog header, meta info already included, scripts declare, self h1 tag link in title, posts are h2 title with link and a lot more things.

    Thank you

Google does sees your signatures. In fact, google is the fastest of the engines to notice any links :)
however, it doesn't give you any ranking benefits for those signature links, if that is what you meant.

regarding indexing, just create a new page at any of your site, list it in your signature and googlebot would be soon hitting at your doors;) just try it :D

I've noticed blogs not only get noticed quicker but they seem to climb SE rankings faster than static sites as well. I've thought most of the above reasons were true and overall simply that wordpress has all the right ingredients for simple SEO...feeds, pingbacks, Metadata, clean html/ php etc...
