Fuelmyblog.com - launched to the press today - the site with the fuel to feed blogs

I have launched a site today that should generate a lot more readers for bloggers and myspace blogs.

In the few days prior to today's Press Release, it got over 1500 unique visitors. At the time of typing, the press release (global) is being read by over 1000 PR companies per hour.

Please take a look and who knows, it may be worth advertising on?

Not a bad idea for an MDH site, I must say.

So it costs about $100 for a square in the home page and $50 for sub-categories. Is that for a period of 5 years? Your text is somewhat unclear about the duration.

And how was the hit count today?

When you said it's being "read," do you mean PRweb "reads" from their stats? If so, that doesn't mean much. Don't worry about how many times your release is looked at. Worry about getting it in front of the right people instead. Getting it in front of 5 beat writers for large publications or sites who actually pick it up is enormously better for you (and will lead to more traffic in the end) than simply knowing you got 100k "reads" according to PRweb. Pickups are all that really matter.

Great concept, not sure about traffic however. Can someone comment on the value of a backlink from this site since it's using a pixel ad vs. a text link? I'm thinking long term value.

See I respect people trying to give it a red hot go, and am happy to help them. But people who think they are the shanizel and don't want help and post about how good they are... but they totally suck and have no idea. It's comedy hour. Sorry. I can't be patient with people like that, but you can. I really respect that.

The advice I've got at DP from people who know tons more than me on one topic or another has helped me enormously. When I first joined, I was so shocked that people would help me and give advice for free. I'm sure at the time, they were very patient with me, but I don't think I was as much of an ass as this guy.

Anyway, it's people like you who patiently answer questions despite people's ignorant attitudes that encourages me to keep contributing.

Maybe you can be the patient one and we can both help people who ask for advice realising they might learn something.

Well thank you. I always enjoy seeing you surface, b/c it means someone's going to have something of some quality to say, and there's not always a lot of that on the PR front, b/c of too many common misconceptions. ;)

There are certainly a lot of helpful people here on a variety of subjects, who help me out a heck of a lot, so if I can give even a little back to at least one person, I'm glad to do it. There are some good ones, and some bad ones, but I figure it's usually better to set the record straight when possible, b/c (for a slightly selfish reason), it saves me a ton of time later on when I'm working with a client if I don't have to explain things in as much detail to everyone privately, when it's been discussed publicly. ;)

Thanks for all the comments even yours I think Dominic?

See, the fact is, I am not some kid trying to make a quick buck. I just wanted to try something new. I have many years experience in sales and have taken companies worth nothing to millions of £'s.

Because of that, I am now allowing all adverts to appear free..for the foreseeable future.

    So, you see!!

(BTW I spoke to a National USA newspaper this morning, they picked up my Press release, I told them I was going free..I must be mad!!)

Just because you beat us 5 nil in the cricket!!!

I am scarred from the block. I wish I was a student paying for studies or something like that!

I will personally add them all as and when I get them!

Anyhow, let's see what happens next. I need to get back to my real job!

First time in a very long time I've called someone at digitalpoint an ass, actually, it's been a really long time... then he gets banned after only 3 posts (or 4, the one that possibly got removed and him banned). I must be able to pick them.

Whatever the reason, for all new comers, there are people here who know a ton of stuff and have excellent experience. The fact that they are willing to help us, and we can share in the areas we are good at... you've gotta respect that.
