    Personally I wouldn't call $144,800 a complete failure :)

Well he will make money but the general interest is waning off.

The concept has been squeezed to the maximum and you cant expect more.

    I'm tempted ...

For 200 bucks, the least you will get is a PR5/6/7? backlink and a decent amount of traffic (low converting traffic I am sure, but traffic nonetheless).

I think the idea of this project is little old. He might reach a million again but only because of publicity coming from the original idea.

But will it have the same value as a text link? These are just pixels, no?

It will probably work for him because he is doing it! Why else would we post about it. He'll certainly get the publicity and you can't blame him for trying. But as someone else suggested I was expecting something better.

I'm not sure if you are going to get a PR from this one because the whole thing starts with a blank sheet once he's filled the page - not sure how long that would take though...

Interestingly they've managed to sort out the problem with placing the transparencies over the ads that you've already clicked on - it was taking ages to process but now it's fairly quick. This does mean that you now spend less time looking at the pages you've clicked on though - this is reinforcing peoples views that the advertisers aren't getting value for money...

I think he's going to have to spend a lot more on advertising than he did last time, the take-up is definately slower...

He's slowed waaaay down and basically stalled at about $145K.
Not a bad payday, but I seriously doubt he's going to hit the
big 7 figures this time round. There's nothing new about it, and
the first one was a big success because of the novelty.

Maybe we should start taking bets on the final total.. I reckon
    $380K :)

I don't think this idea will work all that well compared to his first one mainly because it is similar and the traffic is much less targeted than before even though it were not targetted before and you are paying more this time per pixel plus your pixels are not listed aslong this time.
