That's the point, how did they become successful being such f*ckwits? Or maybe the Peter principle has started to kick in for them.
Did you mean "you're"? I thought so. Or, they have reached their Peter principle, having reached the point where incompetent people are making their daily decisions. So perhaps TLA is good for those whose sites are evaluated accurately, although looking over their payouts they do seem very low for links on a high PR, high traffic site.
Thanks for the correction grammar officer. My experience, as many others, has been phenomenal with TLA. When I had a site that was not evaluated accurately a simple email communication set things straight and had my site accepted. In addition, once my site developed further I sent an email and had my price per link increased. Communication goes both ways and I've found that TLA is quick to respond to any question, change, or anything that I may have. They would not be successful if they were fuckwits as you describe them, which I find amusing that you correct my grammar after you use such language. lol
So we are mutually amused, slightly at least. It would have been great if they had replied to my email pointing out that each of the reasons they gave for rejection (low link popularity, low traffic, already selling links) was incorrect, with reference links just in case they didn't know where to get the information. But no reply. You are fortunate that a competent person handled your communication. Interesting that you were able to get them to raise the price per link. A quick look at some sites wth similar PR and Alexa rank as mine showed most were getting about $30 per link per month - half of that goes to TLA, correct? So ten links brings the site owner $150 per month? Not very interesting. You must be getting substantially more to make it a "phenomenal" experience.
Well, I run about 4 sites worth of inventory at 8 links per site. I receive no more than $30 per link, but keep all my spots full. So, I'm not a big advertiser with them. I say phenomenal, because any issue I've ever had has been worked out in a timely manner. In addition, while the price may not be more than I could get from selling links by myself, I don't have the time to mess with it. It's simple, fast, I get a check every month, and I can focus on other things. It's worth the lower earnings compared to the time I save. Also, I won't argue the point that I dealt with a competent rep. But like any business, there are good and bad customer service reps that can have an impact on your personal experience. However, just because I get an idiot checking me out at Wal-Mart does not mean that the entire company is unsuccessful or fuckwits.
I can second to this. My experience is very good with them. I get email every time they sell link on my site, on every 25th. Also their payments are timely (exactly on 1st) and guess what they pay by Paypal. What can I ask for more?.
I make about $30 - $50 a month from them. It is not much, but all ad revenue from vaious sources add up.
It is really. If they can't be bothered to explain why they've rejected your site that generates a lot of ill-will. I don't think you can afford to annoy so many affiliates unneccessarily.
