How long does it take for a click to show on reports??

Just a quick question --
Does anyone know how long it takes for clicks to show on your Adsense reports?

Just asking because sometimes my logs show activity that suggests visitors are clicking ads (returns to same page after a minute or three) and yet no clicks show in the report until later in the day - seems like most "clickbux" show later in the day. May be my imagination or misinterpretation of my visitor stats but it sure seems to be the case on a LOT of days...

 

One way to get the Adsense reports to refresh a little more quickly is by deleting your adsense.google.com cookies and then logging in to your Adsense account again. That will usually show clicks up to about 30 or 45 mins ago.

 

I heard it takes two hours.

 

Third-party Adsense "tracking" software do not accurately track ad clicks. They just "predict". That is the reason for the discrepancy.

well, in my case it takes couple of hours or a little more to update.

 

One hour to two hours

 

OK - that explains it then... for some weird reason I was under the impression that it was much sooner -- like just a few minutes..

 

What tracking software u using ?

 

There is no way to know for sure. Only Google knows.

i think they have some kinda interval... i see number changes as fast as every 15 minutes..

 

I think it actually depends on the amount of traffic your site is getting. When I was getting Low traffic, it would take just a couple of minutes, now that I am pumping a bit more in there, it takes a bit.

Though, today seems to be taking a hella long time to update. Anyone else noticing that?

 

Well, I think it happens every 20-30 minutes or so but sometimes a lot longer.
