Got infraction for telling people about someone who didn't pay me ? !!!

just posted This and got infraction for telling people to beware of someone who didn't pay me for a job i did to him

are DP staff covering for such guys or what ? !

i'm actually astonished for this

thanks for that though - now i've learnt to shut my mouth when i get scammed and let others fall in the same trap to be scammed like me

 

what did the infraction say specifically?

 

Read the rules. It clearly states that if you have issues with a member you should take it up privately with them, not publicly. We don't know what caused him not to pay you, maybe he has good reason. Because of that, your 'proof' means nothing so it's public harrassment of a fellow member. Try resolving the issue instead of naming and shaming. Maybe your own means of conducting business leave room for improvement.

That's all you can really do in this case!

You will need evidence to prove that the user you are talking about is in the wrong...you can't just claim that you provided a service for the user and didn't get paid. Maybe you did a bad job, or wouldn't work with the employer, and that's why you didn't get paid?

You need to explain it more, in great detail, but by the time you do that, I'm sure you could've settled and solved the problem with the original "employer".

3 PMs and an e-mail through DP with no reply

he avoids reading my PMs although he is online most of the time and replying to other threads and making deals and paying for them

anyways, thanks for the advice - will do it from now and on

 

well if yo uhave a legit claim against this guy, then i think you should be able to warn the rest of us from dealing with him...

 

He can post it on his blog. DP isn't a channel of defamation or slander. It would put the owner in a sticky situation potentially.

But Shawn it's a market here and feedback should be put either when it's bad or good

if i've bad experience here in PD then DP is the place to talk about it same for good experience

i love being here because i've learnt a lot from being here although it has been only 4 months only since i joined

aren't the "most honest/designer/trader etc..." threads do the same meaning as positive feedbacks ?

why allowing positive feedback and disallowing negative ones ?

so in my case all i have to do is to give him a negative iTrader and forget about the whole thing ?

this negative iTrader will get lost among his positive ones and people won't notice it and i'll be the only loser in the process

shawn i think a friendly notice would have solved the matter instead of an infraction because certainly i'm not the bad guy

anyways i hope he runs through the thread (this or the other one ) and reply back and clear things up because he seemed to be good guy few days ago

 

Correct, that's what it's for.

The thread will get lost far quicker.

An infraction is exactly that, a friendly reminder. It doesn't have any consequences if you behave like you normally do. Until you went public, no one knew about your little infraction either.

in case he paid i can prove payment by a screen shot but how can i prove that he didn't pay ?

I think that's why we have negative itrader on DP. Though it won't help you getting your money back but atleast others will know that he didn't pay you.

payment pending - if done then an apology will be given to the guy here in this thread

 

Can we therefor start one specific thread about scammers where we can post about all this kind of stuffs. I think it is very important that members are aware of scammers around here!
