Windows or Apple laptop ? Anyone use Windows on a apple mac ?

That time of the year again to buy a new laptop ?

What do i buy... windows laptop ?

or apple mac and install windows on it and have the pleasure of using both ?

 

I don't see quite the distinction since apple is now using intel chips...it depends on what you want to do. for multimedia, I would go apple. For all else, windows. It is also getting to the point where windows also has the multimedia capabilities, but also remember windows is more virus prone than apple.

You can say that again! I love my MacBook Pro laptop with 2GH of RAM. It does everything I need it to do and does it well. Pricey, though. I use Mac OS X and am happy with it. It's very stable.

 

I like the macs, but for some reason i feel safer and less "coffee drinker"-like with a PC. hehe.

 

my new imac is coming this week. i might install parallels if i need to run windows.

 

just to correct this, RAM is measured by GB not GH unless you meant 2GH processor

It's a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, with 2 GB of SDRAM.

When Boot Camp first came out, I read several reviews in which the reviewer said that although Boot Camp ran just fine, running XP again reminded them of why they switched to Apple in the first place

 

If you decide to go with PC, then maybe you might want to wait for the new OS Vista to come out before you buy it. From what I heard, it should be out pretty soon

 

Yeah right, dude! You were so excited to be able to run AOL "High Speed" on Windows XP.

 

Unless you want to look "cool", you should stick with a Windows laptop. Windows is easier to deal with and to find software for.
