Thank you for the submissions. I will go ahead and review and approve all the links I have received up to this point. Please give me a couple of days. It's just a little more difficult than with paid submissions. I have to mess around with the database.

As far as the script, it's custom written. I had the developers work on the site for quite some time.

It was my idea to create a directory based on a more fair concept, at least from my point of view :). where there are no "premium" or "regular", etc. listings. Right now, when you submit to a directory, your link usually goes below all others even though you paid the same price. My directory allows webmasters to set the price they want with a low minimum, and pick any position they wish, hence the name Wishful Ranking.

I do run several other directories but I want to see how this one goes.

Here's a link to an article on PRWEB if anybody's interested: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/1/prweb494553.htm

    Thanks,
    Dmitriy

The directory looks interesting but it can do with some contents, like one of the earlier posters suggested, you may want to make free inclusion available to help you get the directory populated. I added Haabaa web directory

Thank you for your submission. I will upgrade your listing as well.

It's hard to introduce free inclusion in an auction style directory but I am thinking of maybe matching the amount people pay, e.g. if someone pays $1.25, I would add it as $2.50. I will see how it goes. There is traffic going to the directory and more is expected with a few things I've planned. Thanks.

What do you see when you click on "Add Website"? Can you log out and try it? I don't see your website in the system. Thanks.

There will be 20 links per page and there will also be many subcategories, which will be gradually added as the directory is populated. All links are paid. However, anybody can place their link wherever they want, the price for each position is always displayed. Did I answer your question? :)

Its not that hard if you want it to work. Just have ppl PM you with the info and enter it manually. Hard to do paid with no PR and few links.

    Good Luck

Unfortunately, it's not that simple, there are several database tables, and transactions have to match, etc.

Not hard to market if they can bring in real traffic - unlike most web directories. The competitive aspect (similar to www.linkexperiment.com ) of bidding for top billing helps to make this more unique than your average PHPLD.
