Ok, all you really popular developers and Silicon Valley guys can meander over to an interesting thread since this is probably old hat for you, but it was my first interview for a Wall Street Journal article so I'm pretty freaking pumped. Ok, just had to share with someone since I have no friends.
You might wanna lose the horns of evil. Maybe you would have more friends rally around you and pat ya on the back every now and then....lol
Well, with 400 posts and 2 squares, I think you have plenty of buddies here - horns or no horns. Anyhow, congratulations. Can't say I've been there. I was plenty pleased when a small new website wanted to interview me a few months ago. The same day a small newsletter wanted to feature my site. Great PR day for me. But the Wall Street Journal is obviously better.
What was the article or piece in reference to. Finding it very meaningful that lately alot of DP'ers are getting hit with media access from large channels. CNN doing the PS3 giveaway and all of the threads on marketing have many good tips.
Congrats - would be curious who the interview was with and what the topic was about. Good luck hitting the front page!
Congratulations. I was interviewed by the WSJ a couple of times this year, and ended up in an article about book publishers using music for marketing purposes.
I doubt highly that I will end up on the front page. It is an article about technology's impact on disc jockeys. Now that the high has warn off, my skeptical nature is telling me that I probably won't even be mentioned since the writer (Bobby White) will undoubtedly interview lots of people. Still, I'm flattered that his searches on the internet kept turning up my sites (he contacted me three times!). Lets me know that at least a few of my keywords are working. The 400 posts have taken place over the whole year. I don't spend a whole bunch of time making frivolous posts. Besides this one that is.
I would have guessed that. I make a lot of posts, but most don't get green reps. Not that they are frivolous I don't think (aside from this one), but many aren't particularly remarkable either. I mean, nobody is going to give me green for being the second person to tell them their adsense ads aren't well blended.
LMAO! How true. Or, it's usually an lt50 poster that would only get you grey rep. Some day when I have the time (like after the kids are grown), I'll sit here and makes lots of funny, poignant, insightful posts. Until then, there's work to be done.
