I don't think that you will know about the Ban immediately. People generally report bans somewhere close to when they are about to be paid. Hope this problem solves out for you. Bye
1. block the ip 2. send a mail to google 3. keep working on your site. There is no point for getting back to him. why waste your time on loser?
does adlogger allow you to see if your getting click bombed . and does it allow you to ban the ip so you wont get clicked bombed in the future
I rather spend time earning money...work hard for a few month and send him a thanks you note: Thx for wasting your time a few month ago. I now earn 200 buck a day. How about you? still click booming other because of your frustration on making 5 cent a day? Not long ago i was like you..spend shitload of time messing with other..later i learn the only way to "WIN" is to earn more and show them who's his daddy. I am earning so much that i make their eye bleed
Unfortunately there's a reason for that too, in that AOL recycles IPs all the time among its dialup/DHCP user base. Getting an AOL IP for a guy you'd like to track down is kind of like being a cop and finding out the perp has hightailed it for Antigua. You can still nail someone if you have a very specific time/date window but doing anything "actionable" will likely involve AOL and access to their logs. It's possible that the person may have logged into DP using the same IP, but the Admins would have to get involved and I'm guessing they don't like to do that casually (for good reason).
I'm sorry to hear about your click bomb. You should be in luck however, I have spoken to several people who have been click bombed, and google was very helpful, and simply made the bombed clicks void. I hope they are as understanding in your situation! Best of luck.
In my opinion you have no viable proof whatsoever that it was a DP member. Sure, you may have offended someone here but that doesn't mean they decided to run along and click your ads. Just because your site had a visitor from DP doesn't mean that they responsible for the fraudulent clicks. People legitimately visit my sites via DP all the time. This could easily be a coincidence. If you have reported the fraudulent clicks you have nothing to worry about. Forget it and move on. Seeking revenge is pointless and will achieve nothing. It's not the way to go, especially when you lack concrete evidence linking the accused with the incident. It takes a bigger man to walk away
Looks like revenge served warm in this case. Definitely contact the moderaters of this forum if it came from this forum, im sure theyd like to know. Adlogger can let you set how many clicks a certain person can click in a period of time. Its under settings, looks like this. A visitor can click a maximum of [ ] ad(s) every [ ] hour(s). you fill in the blanks. It's pretty handy.
I get about 15 uniques per day on the site that got click bombed. On my stats page, all the visitors are from SERPs or from one of my other sites, EXCEPT for one visitor from DP. They visited my site just minutes after I made a thread, where somebody said I could get click-bombed, and I basically said "sure it's possible but not likely". The thread that they found my site on was an old dead thread. They stayed on my site for 30 minutes, much longer than any other visitors. If you think that's coincidence, then you're crazy.
I wouldn't trust reverse lookups to find the location of a person. According to my reverse I am in Ft. Collins, Colorado...about 500 miles away from my true location. Doesn't AOL use a bunch of huge cache servers anyway?
Send your info to gaygle as soon as possible. Then I would ask shawn, or one of the other higher-ups if they could run an IP check and oust the individual on the DP forums. If they want to play dirty, then they deserve to be ousted for all to know who they are.
A single IP can be meaningless with cache servers... Look at what happened to Qatar when one IP was blocked by Wikipedia http://news.com.com/2061-11199_3-6146490.html
