Power of Forum signature.

I didnt have any backlinks. But I had put the forum in my signature in more than 100 forums. I got pr2 in first pr update. I think its really usefull.

 

Forum signatures have a value relative to number of posts rep etc

And if used correctly will bring in click through traffic to the URL link

 

Also, depends on the Pagerank of the forum where your sigs were placed.
A sig here in DP will obviously be much more valuable than a sig in any new forum.

 

Dont you think that acts like the bush things ? something like "google bomb'?
the signature acts like the content. What if you include the desired anchor text in the signature?

You can have whatever anchor text you want.

 

Pr is not that important .. good rankings are far more important ... and I doubt the forum signatures will have any weight in the SERP.

 

I think both page rank and rankings are important for a website.

yes forums signatures are very important as they also send you a good number of visitors to your site

but why all of the forums pages are not getting indexed by Google

 

It's because Google only shows you partial results. They're trying to filter pages from a website thats why you're seeing few results only.

 

google does index forum posts, but not all. check yahoo for true backlinks.

Signature links are very effective way to generate backlinks at the same time in an active forum like DP, It will give you a decent traffic to your site as well!

 

thanks for all forums those provides signature facilities because it really very useful. If you have new website and you put it into the signature you got many clicks and it gives result quickly.

Not sure about the effect on pagerank, but as long as you say something interesting, the traffic can be handy

 

I didnt realise they were so useful. I just figured the people who see them might click a link and thats it. This forum is great, Im learning so much everyday!

 

but they help in generating some direct click through traffic and also they are usefull for a new site
