Hello everybody, this is my 3rd post or so. I find this site very interesting but also very overwelming. Anyways my wife and I run an online business www.platinumskincare.com. We started this business about 4 years ago and each year sales have continued to grow and grow. Right now though, we seem to have hit a road block. Sales are just even. Currently we advertise on Google and Overture. We have also had our site optimized for keywords. We are looking for some suggestions to grow the business further and get more of a presence on the web. Obviously we are looking for some help to bring our company into the big leagues. Please let us know if you either "work" in this field, or if you just have some general suggestions. **Please don't judge our site too harshly! We are in the process of finishing up a new, more updated site!
That would of been the first thing I would of suggested. If you make it easier for a person to order a product off your site the more chances you'll have to make a sale. If everything is layed out correctly and your site is easily navigatable (is this even a word?) then you will probly see an increase in sales; Shameless Plug; If your looking for a designer, Im willing to work (for free +) as a way to build up my portfolio and gain experience. Thankyou for the reply. We are hoping that the new website will lead to more sales, and thank you for the generuos offer of your help, however we had a professional web designer build our new one. We are just in the process of adding new links, pics etc... my wife built the current site with no professional training or help a few years ago.
I agree that new website will do the trick if it has a proper layout. You can also do promotion online focusing on your client target. You can also add paypal as one of the payment options. and for the title make it less keyword stuffing.
Can you elaborate on promotion/client target? and why do you suggest paypal? We already have a merchant acct.
Adding more forms of payment is just another way you can assure that if someone wants to buy your product they will be able to.
buy books from amazon.com and become an expert. also read here on DP, it has heaps of good quality stuff.
intrinzik is correct. giving your visitors more options will actually help you boost your sales. i also visited your site and your move to redo the layout is a good step forward. right now, it's hard to find what i am looking for. i had to do a lot of clicking before i can find the product that i need. i think it will help if you just have a page for each product type. like, a separate page for your products for normal skin, etc. advertising will also help, but only if you advertise to the correct channels... women's website or anything that concerns vanity. hehe
