I have a PR4 site that is about 8 years old that I have negleted. Never really marketed it. Most of the backlinks anchor tags show make money online.

I was promoting a merchant and did well for a few months. The products were basically hardware but you know some merchants flake out and never answer emails yet still take the traffic and you get shafted. From checking many forums this merchant is non responsive so it is not just me. Well sick of being shafted on this domain though I have several others. Still get plenty of searches for the hardware related though.

The domain has no specific keywords in it other than associate. I have never had a loosing month with this site always paid 4 itself.

The no brainer is dumping the merchant. Based on the information given what would you market or affiliate with?

I would try a FOREX- or mortgage/refi- related service. The market for both of them is booming right now, and giving handsome profits to those who play their cards right. :) (My EasyForexInfo.com site is really starting to take off, and the AdSense earnings per click from it are great!!!)

I tried the mort/refi stuff and it was nice seeing the 4-6 dollar clicks but it was really competitive. The 30-40 dollar leads were sweet. I thought the refi market was petering out?

    What exactly is Forex?

    http://www.easyforexinfo.com :D

Basically, it's currency trading. FOREX stands for Foreign Exchange.

    -----------------------------

Who were you doing refi leads with? I used to do them, and the company I was with closed down. Due to the lucrativeness of it, I'm definitely interested in starting again! :D

Thanks for your reply. I got thinking more about your first post. Most of my anchor tags for the site are for "make money online" so I will probably investigate a little bit more.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other tips ... thanks.

If you go with them please use me as your referrer.

Do they go through a particular affiliate network? Do they also offer a data feed? Thanks

My apologies to DP for violating the affiliate rule. I wasn't aware of it.

reapr. They don't have an affiliate network. It is like in-house action instead. You have a personal account which you log in to check your info. Reporting is setup similar to Google Adsense reports and Analytics on Google but it is not quite as in depth.

Sorry about that I should have probably started the thread out on a different note. Just frustrated putting that much time into a merchant delivering them traffic and having no responce. Thomas thanks for the idea.

Rule number one and my fault ... Reseach the heck out of the merchant. I failed to completely research. Tough lesson to learn.
