I got three mails from paypal saying

This mail was sent on Saturday, December 30, 2006 10:00 PM

what will happen now and how much time i have left to verify my account before they close my account?

and after i add a bank account and if PP still asks for more documents... can i withdraw to that bank account without providing those documents?

Are you sure it is from Paypal and not a spoofed email?

Sign into your account and the information (stating your account is limited) should be there and the information should be there as to what you need to do and what you cannot do.

I get dozens of the emails per week - they're all fake, trying to phish account information.
UNLESS your account really is limited, then do like Mr. Bryat says..

Can you see statement like this " Account access limited/restricted" on your paypal account's main page? if yes! then your account is limited otherwise just forget this email. You should've post the link that came with this email asking you to click on it (To login to your account).

Means this is the legit email from Paypal. You should follow the steps to restore the limit of your paypal account. I don't think it is difficult if you have a genuine paypal account (with real information i.e address, phone etc). By extended period of time they mean the time frame given in your paypal account to solve this problem in.

Well that sounds strange! I think you should just click on "Resolution center" and see if there is something that requires action. This happened to me once that my account was limited but when I tried to find cases (Open cases even all cases) it didn't give me any case , showing that there is no case. But actually my account was restricted. So try it this way by clicking on "Resolution center".

If there were no links and your accoutn seems to be fine - chances are it might have been a phishing email - perhaps your email program / server removed the links?

What about the header? Does it go to your paypal email address?

He/she is saying that his/her paypal account has been limited (really) so this email seems to be from paypal. As it don't have a link and it recommends to open your browser and type in paypal's url.

Yes! He said that he can't find any case ID and I told him a similar case (happened with me) where I searched for case IDs and it didn't come up with any cases (even when I tried all cases). So a hint for him was to click on "Resolution center" and check what steps are to be taken to restore account access. :)

I had the same email the other day. To an email i DONT have a paypal account with. it is definetley phising.

however the email i recieved did give a link to a non-paypal address, which masked the address to make it look like paypal.

leave a message in the official paypal forums (they still have a forum dont they?) and an admin will likely get back to you.

If his name is listed as registered in Paypal, it is most likely real. Besides he did mentioned that his account is really limited.

If you are not sure if it is real, forward the mail to and they will check for you. Also the other thing is that Paypal will always address you by your full name and the email header will tell you where the email comes from.
