Is it good for selling adds?
Why do you have to put in your Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number?

    Thanks

Hey, yeah I use AdBrite and the general consensus is that it's not as good as Adsense but I can't use AdSense.

I think if you wishing to sell ads then they do need your banking information (paypal account will do i think) but I don't think they need your IRS details. They may want to know if your a US tax payer though.

Sounds like you may be wishing to avoid paying tax which is a little dodgy to say the least and they'll catch up with you in the end ;)

Personally I don't make enough from my websites yet for the UK (that's where I'm based) tax authorities to be concerned - if I were to push it I think they'd owe me money!

    Good luck, p.

We used to for our network of sites. The results were not at all impressive. Earlier this month, we switched to AdSense, and revenue is up dramatically from AdBrite. :)

Adsense or YPN should be the first choice but if for any reason you cant have adsense/ypn,Experiment with Adbrite,Clicksor etc. and see what works for you better.

I use Adbrite only in a very limited way. There just isn't a return on investment of time and space with them. They just don't serve relevant ads, they don't draw paying advertisers and they don't pay enough for clicks.

Yeah they're alright, and I've rarely seen a relevant ad.

What about selling banner adds on it though, not pay per click?

Yes it is, however the 60 net makes the payment very very slow
I am using AdBrite since last March, if you can afford net 60 go ahead and sign up with AdBrite

started using it on a site about 3 months back, till now it brings in only 1/3 revenue as compared to contextual ad services, so am seriously thinking of dropping it.

If you cant use Adsense or Clicksor, then go in for Bidvertiser, as their ads are relevant & they pay way too high even for clicks on low traffic sites

I use it but getting quite dissapointed.
I think I'll go with adsense once my campaign is done...

Yeah I agree they have been a huge disappointment especially for the targeting of keywords and search topics.. Looking to implement adsense after the new year.

AdSense is the best by far. Then comes YPN and a long long pause... Adbrite is a joke.
