What has happened!

    My proxy site was averaging 300 uniques/day yesterday, I check stats and its' 1500 uniques. WTF, now today I wake up check stats its 1100 and its only 1 pm.. WHAT IS THIS? .. I like it. Oh and its USA/Euro traffic no arab traffic :confused:

    If you have enough money to pay for bandwidth on a dedicated server, for sure you will love it.

    Otherwise get ready for a warning from your hosting company and eventual abuse from surfers.

    Ever take into account that x-mas is over and people are now out shopping more as well as returning items. Lets us not forget to mention that the new years is about to ring in tomorrow and that means parties and even more people away from their PC's, and shopping. (yes, people actually do go outside)

    I get free hosting (750G bandwith/Month) from my friends and yeah I can keep it up .. but if traffic increases alot and steadies I will start a network, spread the traffic and SELL. :)

    Check the referers. Many p0rn sites use proxies to link to p0rn.

    Before two months I paied $1000 bandwidth for that reason. Hope this is not true in your case :)

    Ah! indeed, it's highly advisable tweak your script and offer post and other features (such as SSL access) as paid service.

    That will save the risk to block legit users if you begin blocking a range of IP's

    However, I would suggest double check your logs and block those IP's identified as abusers.

    Unless your site is linked to a spamming site you are on sound footing.
