Liberal doesn't mean they have to go out naked, show off their bodies to other men. In islamic world its man's job to work and make a living and its woman's job to spend that. They are allowed to go out, do shopping, get education, work, vote or participate in sports. But they are not allowed to go out naked. And don't give example of Saudi Arabia where they can't vote, in there most man can't vote either. They are kingdom not democracy.

BTW, clothing in the states is choice, yes, but not all of us agree with walking around with few clothes on. You will find most who you would call "people of the book" are for more clothing covering the body in a chaste way, we just wouldn't say cover from head to to or die..

My wife dresses modestly and my daughter will not be wearing todays in fashion of butt crack showing, belly showing, thong showing, boobs falling out, etc... I am glad I have only one daughter, but the boys are looking queer with butts falling out of there pants too!! Well the main difference i see between Islam and Christianity is that Christianity has adapted more to change in traditions.

In Jesus time, Women where considered inferior just like in Mohammed's time.

Just since the 2nd Vatican council, Christianity (Catholic) has came more in synch with the times while keeping its morals abortion, divorce, capital punishment etc.

In Jesus time - cultures had there value systems whether right or wrong, Jesus taught that man and woman each had their own positions, but both are equal heirs. He broke cultural traditions a number of times in this area.

So Christianity didn't adapt, but Christians becoming more Chist-like will.

The catholic church doesn't pertain to most/many Christians, so I really don't know about the council,etc... except that they have their own set of traditions like a sub-culture in many nations.
