How can a true Christian enjoy that somebody's is dead? What about love your enemies?

Anybody who enjoys "death" better see a doctor.

Now the sunis will be more determined than ever to kill as many of our soldiers as they can.
Those families who are going to lose their loved ones should remember who sent their sons in Iraq.

Sadly Bush values more Saddam's death than the lifes of many US soldiers.

    Iraqis brought saddam to justice.

Given that saddam killed millions, the fact he is no longer able to do such means millions will otherwise live.

Justice was served. There are already a number of pity party threads for saddam. Maybe you just missed them?

You would be surprised to see how many christians that are in favour of the death penalty. Christians have the a right to kill someone when they see it fit.

All depends on how you define a "true christian". I don't enjoy Saddam's death. In fact, I would rather he never committed any wrongdoing. However, there are laws and he broke those laws knowingly. We all live by those laws no matter where we are.

Interestingly, the Bible says he has the possibility of another chance through the resurrection hope.

    Col :)

You would be surprised at how many liberals support murdering babies (abortion) but keeping murderers alive.

Login, those are not true christians that believe this. You are talking about the nicely dressed people of the christian right who are quick to judge others yet never judge themselves. Jesus didnt come into jerusalem in a bmw, he came into jerusalem on a donkey. Yes listen to the one who says saddam was brought to justice yet they wont say that many years ago ouyr secretary of defense was shaking hands with him while he was gassing thousands of people. Remember my first statement of judging others yet not judging themselves:) Judge not lest ye be judged for you shall be judged upon the standards that u apply. I see some pretty huge beams out there:)

Incorrect. Rumsfeld was sent, as a private citizen to work on improving relations with Iraq. This was some five years BEFORE saddam gassed the kurds.

Not that facts would matter. Pawning off the actions of one onto someone else is no less judging. Isn't it funny how that works?

It was probably only a million or so deaths thanks to Saddam. I am sure those million and their families wouldn't have a problem with some rounding errors.

    Politacal statement.

Yet, everyone with IQ even as high as that of Bush knows who's behind those "iraqis" who served that - "justice".

And an accurate statement at that.

Gee - there seemed to be an awful lot of killing going on in the Bible (or at least in my version of it)... surely there is a place for justice?

As far as stating what a Christian should and shouldn't believe in.. well, that is just funny! This whole 'WWJD' thing is just crazy. The most amazing thing about Jesus time on earth was that he did everything that was unexpected! How are we supposed to presume what Jesus would have done - or indeed what is the appropriate Christlike response, when the fact is he probably would have done the exact opposite of the norm.

Um, I would have thought it obvious. Based on what he did do.

He may have done the opposite of the norm, but you can't say that as a statement. He didn't do the opposite of the norm because it was the opposite, but rather because it was right and his purpose.

Also, "exact opposite" is sort of redundant, is it not? Haha.

haha.. yeah thanks for correcting my English..

Yeah, I agree that he didn't do things that were opposite of the norm - just to be different :D But I also think that it is funny that people want to think that they could assume to know what Jesus would do! I know that we can look to the Scriptures as a guide, and follow the 10 commandments etc - which is funnily what we still allow most of our laws to be governed by(side issue).

But to say that we know what Jesus would have done is absurd. It's like saying that anyone would know the precise outcome of a situation. I don't think that Jesus was or is that predictable. Yeah, He is the unchanging God - but not predictable....

Lpspider u cant be serious. the only thing that separates him from any world leader is that he doesnt have the media on his side. 3000 american soldiers dead yet that crime goes unpunished. Incredible the naivety of most people these days

Scart, jesus is coming again and this next time he wont be coming in peace. He is gonna get down and funky, and we will all be surprised at who he will decide to go after. The media wont be able to debunk jesus like it tries to do with most people.
