I do not know the sanskrit word "Arya" but I know the meaning of the word "Aryan"

I think there had been huge misunderstanding over the words "Aryan" and "Aryas"

Now the GDP can be much more if India counts Includes other things used in calculations, eg:- Money laundering, income in red light areas(just avoiding the words), money spent on illegal substances and contraband(Countries actually include such stuff)

And India needs to stop comparing INR to USD, they should just stick to the bullion.

If I were you latehorn, I would be more worried about the Dollar. Its sliding too much, and Euro is already being touted as the more dependable international currency. If it goes on like this the day wont be far when DP members would be trading in Euro.

If rupee again comes to such a level it would be a win -win situation for us as we would be earning more

If INR goes by 1:1 ratio with dollar then You will be getting a laptop for 600 INR. and bread for 50 P. India will be as powerful (economically) as US.

So now put your brain plugs on and think hard, what will be the best situation?
earning $100 and buying a laptop for 50,000 bux or earning Rs.100 and buying a laptop for 700 INR.

I think this old system of connecting rupee to dollars should be discontinued as now days it is out of date

I think Chinese will never appreciate their yuan so as to keep their exports

competitive so Dollar will surely depreciate against Rupee and other major currencies

If Dollar comes equal with Rupee, your economy will boom as well and things will go cheap in the same ratio, for example if you buy something for USD 1 (Rs. 44/-) right now and subsequently the USD becomes equal to the Rupee, you will be able to buy the same thing for Rs. 1 which you previously were buying for Rs. 44/-

Dude for the last time...If dollar comes equal to INR you would be getting stuffs at the same price Ameriacn are getting..
In other words it means.. The Rupees will have the same value what dollar has, In other words it means you will get rice for less than 50P/KG and Bread for 25P...

Do Us a favour and before arguing about something as complex as economics, please please please please, get yourself educated about it..

 

But you dont understand mate. A cheap dollar will make imports cheaper. But our export industry will dies...its a 2 way street. The price of the dollar needs to be balanced...
