You dont need to spend lots of money submitting to various PR sites for getting into google news. While doing my research i found the following are some of cheap PR distribution sites which will get you into google news. some are free and others charge little.

Just submit your press release to following sites

    http://www.clickpress.com
    http://www.prurgent.com
    http://www.theopenpress.com
    http://www.i-newswire.com

and your news release will show up in google news.

for getting into yahoo news, its bit difficult without spending much. You need to contribute about $80+ to prleap and it worked for me.

    Hope this helps.

Nice one... Just typed up a press release and submitted to a few of them. What are the chances of it being published?

Have you found that any one of these is better than the rest (i.e. more features, better coverage, etc)?

yeah, PRweb and PRLeap are good but to a limited extend. I had been on first page spending $85 to prweb and yet not been in google news (i am unlucky). Similary i was second in PRleap front page by contributing $50. Generally people say yours will be picked up by google news if you are first page in prleap/prweb. Got decent visitors though + some orders only for 2 days.

What i am not convinced that they dont bring good backlinks, which i expected most. Instead i fancy submitting to other PR sites like prurgent, prlog, pr9, inewswire etc.

and dont forget, your press release must be of quality too.

    Hi,

I always hear about prnewswire.com from my PR colleagues, but it is kind of expensive, I believe.

PRWeb is now a bit expensive, and I was looking forward to try PRLeap services. But before that I will try your suggestions.

Many thanks and green rep :)
