I really want pokemononline.com

How would I go about trying to buy this domain off the company that has it currently? It's not being used for anything anyway. I could use it for better things for my own project: http://pokemonol.net.

    You wont be able to.
    Find a new one.

Whats your budget unless it goes into hundreds or thousands its doubtful you will be able to buy it from them.

I'm earning around $100 a day from adsense so I'm sure I'll be able to invest :)

I wouldn’t be so sure. First find who owns the domain, frequently these domains have been bought by people who want to make money of them. After you find the owner try contacting them with an offer, you never know :D

Ah yes, one of those "domain is not being used" things. As if they can really
tell since it doesn't meet their expectations.

Good luck trying to buy it from its current registrant. If nothing fruitful results,
then give it up and move on to more productive stuff.

It looks like they've used privacy registration. Try hiring a Sedo broker to negotiate on your behalf if you really want to buy the domain name.

Also, I found out through Wayack machine that a few years ago the official Pokemon.com site owned pokemononline.com.

I might have to sell another one of my domains to fund it, since my Google Adsense money still hasn't came through. I still don't have the PIN.

one advice : never say you're despired to get a domainname
that will only boost the price

ok, I got a reply from the Sedo broker regarding pokemononline.com:

    Dear Mr Ahmed,

Thank you for ordering a domain appraisal from Sedo. I have attached a copy of the assessment in PDF format. Please make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed on your computer prior to viewing the valuation (a free copy of this software is available at www.adobe.com).

Once you have reviewed our appraisal report, please forward me your maximum limit of investment for the domain's acquisition project. Once you have done so, I will then be able to proceed by contacting the seller and establishing their willingness to sell.

If you have any other questions or concerns about the appraisal assessment or the acquisition process in general, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Otherwise, please know that I will be keeping you informed of the status of negotiations as they mature.

We look forward to working with you. Thank you for choosing Sedo!

    Kind Regards,

    Christine Walsh

Sedo appraised pokemononline.com at £4000. So, how much should I be offering for the domain? I could probably make that in a month, but I couldn't pay that amount right now. Could I wait until I have that amount of money in a month before I make an offer? If it doesn't work out I could always use pokemononline.org.

I believe when you submit a price at Sedo you are legally bound, so I would make sure you have the money in hand. If you are willing to pay that much, Id maybe offer 1/2 of that and go from there. However, I have never done this before. Good luck.
