Most of those questions are readily available from both the queries of digitalpoint and phplinkdirectory.com.... But to answer a few other questions...You actually dont need a ton of hosting..only enough space to hold your serverside scripting files and images and so on...you could run a great directory off 50 megs of hosting + a db easily. although the more the better. an ideal size...100-500megs with decent bandwith and a few MySQL databases would run from 4-10$ monthly... As for bandwith, any normal hosting package should be able to carry the burden of a strong trafficed directory. You can backup the directory using a serverside tool called php myadmin, very easy to backup and save once inside it. backing up should be done more commonly the bigger the directory gets...i used to back up 1x every 2 weeks when i started...now my directory gets many many links a day so i back up daily or every 2 days. You can add as many new links as you want,..simply edit the .tpl file where you want to place them. e.g. top_bar.tpl and include Contact like i said,..use the search on both here and phplinkdirectory forums....you wont believe what you will find... -Tim
