The very red text on the side is very harsh to the eye. I'd recommend a less intense red, or perhaps a purple. You might also choose to go with the white that is used elsewhere on the site.

The headers on the right side are rather thin and hard to read, and you use bold below them. I'd recommend always making a higher level header larger or thicker than the text or sub-headers that it is over. At the very least make it as large and as heavy.

Change the white to a dark blue and keep it in the same family. This will give your site a more professional feel.

Whoa that blue just made me feel a little queasy.. Tone it down to maybe a pastel shade or two.

This may be scratching the topic a bit too deeply but have you thought about the meaning that certain colors bring as it relates to the topic of your site? There's lots of research (some of it pretty dry) into the way color affects us, but one site that sells color scheme creator software says blue is a color associated with "depth and stability" as well as "trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven". These are not description I'd associate with a "fun" site. That would belong to yellow or even orange -- if you buy their analysis. Of course, this is not to say that your colors *can't* work. Just something to consider. Good luck.

Yeah I learned about that in a class I took last semester in college, pretty interesting stuff, but I wouldnt really apply it to web design ( although it could it just wont have the same effect) Try http://colourlovers.com/ , pick a color scheme from there and apply it because right now I just dont like anythign about the colors you used.

McDonald's has yellow arches for a reason. According to studies, that color makes people hungry.

Well I guess that's why most John-deer tractors are green with yellow trim.

I'm colorblind but the blue looks alright, the background looks weird? What is that yellow/tan?

That's much better on my eyes than the blue. Easier to focus on what I'm reading...nice layout.

dan, i think the site is ok, but i´m a weird guy and i think games remind me strong colors etc, but you have to try it for yourself: keep it like that for a month or 2 and see how it goes! :)

I like it. The ads and pictures stand out well against the neutral background.

I agree with everyone else that it's still on the tame side, perhaps the icons in the header could be a bit bigger?
The orange lines might be a bit wider - for a more exciting 'gamey' feel.
