Asked you to list the sites you intend to put adsense on? This way you could remove any possible threat of somebody taking your code and placing it on a site unbeknownst to you, or trying to get you banned - display a "blank" ad or PSA's instead of real ads. Also people with thousands of MFA's would have one hell of a time listing all there domains What do you think? Do you think its a good idea? Pierce
how? If im in my adsense account and say "forums.digitalpoint.com" is a trusted site for adsense. yes somebody else could take my pub-id in that place and replicat me. But, as digitalpoint is trusted it wouldnt really matter. Pierce
I think they should do that, not particularly to avoid the first situation you describe but the second. if all sites had to be reviewed it would be easy to reject MFA sites etc. But as all us directory owners know, what looks like an informative site one day can become an MFA site a week later. Which is perhaps why they don't bother.
Maybe make it let us choose if we want to activate every site or not. If yes, when a new site is detected to have your ads, you will have to activate it in your AdSense account. Looks good to me, at least it can reduce the chances of being sabotaged.
That sounds quite good, i never thought about that. And that is the point of the idea. Quite a few people are afraid of there ads being hijacked and stolen from them. Pierce
I really like your idea, I think they could easily automate that. I think they could also add "my IPs" list for IP address that might click on ads but should not be counted as clicks. That way if you accidentally click, or click to see what the site is like that is clicking on your add, you can filter that stuff out.
I fully agree with this. Maybe we should send a few e-mails (spam ) their customer service to demand this service,an alternative,or at least tell us why don't they want the feature ?
It may actually not be commercially viable for them to do this. If lets say 1000 publishers wanted it, thats about 0.8% of adsense users? However I can see a large proportion of AdWords customers wanting this. To stop there ads being shown on MFA's which potentially produce low quality traffic. That would possibly get this implimented. They are also the ones paying money into google, and thus have more power. Unless we can convince millions of publishers this is needed Pierce
Yah, this is what the whole topic is about. The other idea was for google to detect the adsense on the page and then ask us to verify it or denie it. Which would reduce support with people trying to figure out how to "add" it to there account. Pierce
